Hello fellow mom’s, wives, travellers and believers. I am a freelance journalist, editor and now, blogger. A Quiet Life is something that is near and dear to my heart and I hope it’s something that will become close to yours too.

When I was a little girl, I had a picture of what I wanted my life to be. I always knew I wanted to be a mom and wife and I imagined myself living a content, quiet life. I dreamt of marrying a farmer and was I was sure that I would raise my kids in the quiet, South African countryside. Later in life my ambitions changed and luckily, so did my destiny.

My husband and I are high school sweethearts and he is a professional rugby player and the very best husband and dad. Although he is the furthest thing from a farmer, he is the absolute light of my life. We have an extremely adorable baby boy called William and I work from home in order to be close to him and to adapt to our ever-changing rugby schedule.

Between different rugby contracts, different careers and different cities my life has truly become anything but quiet. Nevertheless, I am content. It’s in the madness that I sometimes feel most like myself and in the fiercest fight that I find true freedom. With this blog I invite you to take on this crazy journey with me, laugh with me, at me and just enjoy the remarkable quietness that I get from this completely crazy life.
